Video Module

Support for users to upload videos direct from their computer or from sites like YouTube, MySpace, Google etc…

Video conversion is done by FFMPEG, which will convert videos into the .flv format which will allow users to view videos in a Flash video player.

Video conversion routine also creates a thumbnail image on the fly.

Option to either allow videos direct on your site or have them approved before they show up in the main video section.

Option to edit the “Allowed” file extensions.

Option to edit the color layout of the video player.

Option to watermark the video player with your sites logo.

Option to modify the time the software takes a snapshot of a video which in return creates the thumbnail for the video.

“Latest Videos” AJAX box found in your sites index page.

“AJAX BOX” displayed in the main index page of the video module displays the Featured, Most Viewed, Most Discussed and Top Favorite videos.

AJAX option to feature videos

AJAX option to save videos to a users “Favorite” list.

AJAX option to share videos with other users on the site.

AJAX option to report videos to the site staff.

Option for the staff to view all reported videos.

Users can tag videos

AJAX comments. When a user submits a comment or would like to view comments on for example the 2nd or 3rd page they won’t have to refresh the entire page and load the Flash video player once again.

AJAX rating feature for videos.

“Related” videos box is displayed when viewing a video.

“Users Video” box is displayed when viewing a video or viewing a users profile.

Search bar found on all areas of the video module.

Option for staff to edit video categories.

Multi-language Capabilities

Ability to create/upload/download language packages.

Users can select the language they would like to view your site in direct from the Account Settings.

Admins can feature a song or musician which will show up on the index page of the Music module

Music module index page displays the latest songs uploaded, featured musicians, featured songs, genres, recent visitors and a search form.

Members can add a song or an album to their favorites list

Members can comment on all songs and albums

If a user uploads a set of songs they will all show up on their profile page

Users can add another users song to their profile direct from the video module

Admins can approve an album or song

Admins can add/edit/delete genres

Admins can edit the maximum file size an MP3 can be during the upload routine

Blog Module – Updates

Our blog module is not a new feature, however we have introduced the following updates for this specific module:

The “order by” option “Most Talked About” has been added to the blog browser. This option will list the Blogs that have the most comments in descending order.

The input fields “Listening too” and “blog mood” have been removed from the blog module.

When viewing a blog you will find a RSS image which will allow users to subscribe to another users blog.

digg.com integration added for each blog. This can be turned on/off direct from the Admin CP.

Search bar added to the blog module.

Tags

Tag clouds are now provided for blogs, images and videos being added to your site.

Admins can…

select a minimum amount of tags to display

select a minimum string length of a tag

select how long to cache a set of tags

select a minimum and maximum font size

select how many rows to check when picking up new tags

select how many total tags can be displayed

RSS

Main RSS feed link found at the bottom menu

RSS feed supports blogs, users blogs, events, forums and forum threads

Each blog comes with a RSS image which links a user direct to the users blog feed

Instant Messenger

Instant Messenger provides a easy way for your members to communicate with each another.

Features include:

AJAX Powered

Personal status: Online, Away, Busy or Be Right Back

Admins can add/edit/delete personal statues from the Admin CP in the Options Manager

AJAX powered friends search which finds any friends online

Sound alert if a user gets a new request or new instant message.

Users can decide to turn of the sound alert by clicking on the “Settings” link found in the index of the Instant Messenger.

When a user enters a room it will announce it in the IM room.

When a user leaves the IM room it will announce it to the other user

If a user closes their main Instant Messenger window it will also close any other windows related to the IM.

Chat & Shoutbox Modules

Chat & Shoutbox provides a easy way for your members to communicate with each other.

Chat Features include:

AJAX Powered

Multiple rooms, which Admins can add/edit/delete from the Admin CP

WYSIWYG text editor with emoticons

Flood control

Bad word filter

List of who is online chatting

Only displays chat messages from the present day, this option can be turned off from the Admin CP.

Shoutbox features include:

Shoutbox located in the index page of your site and in the index page for each group.

Admins can view and delete any shoutouts from the Admin CP

Social Bookmarking

The Social Bookmarking module connects to a few other modules on your site. The default social bookmarking sites we added are Digg, Del.icio.us, Facebook, Furl, Magnolia, StumbleUpon, Google and Yahoo MyWeb. You can enable or disable any of these sites from your Admin CP.

When you view a gallery image, blog, forum thread, music album or an event you will notice a table with the provided social bookmarking sites. This feature also updates the “BOOKMARK US” link found on the top right of your site. It will now say “BOOKMARK” and if clicked, a drop down of the provided social bookmarking sites will appear. First on the list will be “Favorites” and this is if they want to bookmark your site with their web browser. This will allow users to bookmark any page on your site.
